Introduction
Founded by experienced wellness researchers and clinical practitioners, IIHWD operates as a bridge between tradition and science. We do not choose between traditional remedies and scientific inquiry — we use modern scientific instrumentation (functional imaging, EEG mapping and biomarker panels) to decode, document and standardise traditional wellness modalities.
The Institute functions across four mandates: research, education, standards and collaboration. Each mandate is administered by a dedicated division reporting to the Academic & Research Council.
Scriptural Conformance
Every pranic, yogic or dietary diagnostic protocol is aligned strictly with classical Ayurvedic texts and cited to source.
Scientific Rigour
Clinical trials measure immune profiles, neurological states and gut microbiome shifts under controlled protocols.
Vision, Mission & Mandate
Vision
A India where preventive, holistic wellness is measurable, professionally regulated and accessible in every district — practised to a published national standard rather than by individual interpretation.
Mission
- Set standardised, evidence-based benchmarks for holistic and integrative practice.
- Certify practitioners against a published, auditable competency framework.
- Publish peer-reviewed research on traditional modalities and their measurable effects.
- Extend qualified care to rural and under-served communities through partner networks.
Governance & Leadership
A specialised council of healthcare practitioners, traditional scholars and clinical investigators directs the Institute's academic and research work.
| Office / Division | Portfolio | Responsibilities |
|---|---|---|
| Office of the President | Governance & Strategy | Sets the institute's vision, oversees registration and governance, and directs national wellness and human-development programming. |

| Academic & Research Council | Curriculum & Studies | Guides the academic curriculum, certification standards, and peer-reviewed research initiatives. |
“India has always held the manual for balanced living. Our mission at IIHWD is to translate that manual into the precise scientific vernacular of the twenty-first century — assuring professional safety, replicable clinical results and worldwide educational acceptance.”
